We are a small group of artists and creators who love the simple things in life and we hope to share some of those here with you. Acer Midas means the Gold Leaf Maple which was a joke back from the days I studied a Dendrology course at Catawba College and was Identifying and collecting leaves. I put one sugar maple leaf in my book, spray painted gold. I loved the idea of a maple tree as our company logo because I grew up with maple trees as a favorite shade tree and I have a rare genetic disorder that when I sweat, I sometimes smell of maple syrup when under catabolic stress. Our products are produced by hard work and a lot of laborious sweat, touched by a little unexplained luck like Midas that I call the grace of God where despite many problems we face in life during the making of these handmade items, the product makes it to completion after hours of picking it up and putting it down and tireless labor. We are open to special request orders that are family friendly. Please contact us to discuss whether we can create a special gift for you or your loved one. We also carry items that are not handmade and some thrifted and those are labeled as such.
